How does home delivery work?
When you order online, you can select 'Local Delivery' in the
checkout options and we will contact you with our next delivery date.
If you are in the city of Buffalo we can usually get to you in a day or two. For Rochester, we deliver twice a month on Thursdays.
If our scheduled times don't work for you, contact us and we can make other arrangements.
Where Do you Source your product?
All our product is sourced from small, independent fishermen and fishing families who have a similar value set to the Local Catch Network.
Why is most of your product frozen?
Simple! Sustainability, flavor, and safety.
Our fine products remain intact from their pristine wild environments all the way to your door without sacrificing taste, as blind taste tests from Oregon State University have proven. Since fish are cold-blooded creatures, the freezing process does not alter the quality of the meat significantly.
Finally, freezing effectively kills any pathogens or bacteria that
quickly attach fresh fish. Your product is safer, more energy efficient, and just as delicious through this process.
Do you carry fresh seafood?
Our most popular fresh product are dayboat scallops from East Coast, which are trucked in within a day or two of harvest.
We do our very best to pre-sell any fresh products to make sure the waste is minimized and you are guaranteed a piece as soon as they get out of the water.
